Research Activities

I am currently undertaking my PhD where I am examining the molecular basis of zinc uptake via the Adc permease of Streptococcus pneumoniae. My studies involve biochemically and structurally characterising the solute binding protein AdcAII to elucidate the zinc-binding mechanism and protein interactions that enable zinc uptake.
